Check this isnt the case, by capturing this output as well: /path/to/script > /tmp/output 2>&1 to see if this helps you catch your issue. The script could be broken and the output going to stderr which doesnt get passed to /tmp/output. You could request the feature be added to Echofon, you could tolerate the occasional spam notifications (and report/block the accounts), or you could find another Twitter client that has a feature to suppress notification of mentions from accounts you do not follow. and it doesnt work and you cant see any output, it may not necessarily mean cron isnt working. And then it has to be styled to look right with all the operating systems and themes (Windows XP regular, Windows XP classic theme, Vista/7 with Aero, Vista/7 without Aero.
